The girl’s eyes burned as she stared at him, and Lu Zhe felt a bit more uncomfortable.
His hand grabbed at the hem of his shirt, pausing as he said, “I can lower the collar a little.”
Su Ci looked at him with small, resentful eyes. “No!” She wanted to watch him take off his clothes.
Back when she was a rabbit, she had watched Lu Zhe exercise almost every day, so she knew exactly how good his figure was.
She felt that she hadn’t seen him work out for too long, and she kind of missed it.
“Hurry up and take it off.” Su Ci urged impatiently, acting just like a shameless little rascal teasing a proper young lady.
Lu Zhe glanced at her helplessly. “Someone will come later…”
Su Ci cut him off directly. “No one will come, and the cameras can’t see the pavilion from here. Just relax and take it off.”
Lu Zhe: …
He felt that the girl was really looking forward to him taking off his shirt.
Su Ci disliked how slow he was being. The corners of her eyes lifted slightly. “Hurry up.”
The girl wore a blue dress, sitting under the moonlight, clearly a beautiful little fairy — yet somehow she had turned into a villain forcing a good person into “selling his body.”
Lu Zhe looked at her deeply, gritted his teeth, and took off the black T-shirt he was wearing.
The night breeze brushed by, and Lu Zhe instinctively straightened his back.
Lu Zhe said, “Give me the medicine. I’ll apply it myself.”
Su Ci kicked off her high heels. She stood up, her bare snow-white feet touching the floor, standing in front of Lu Zhe.
Under the moonlight, the pretty girl looked like a little fairy with a face full of barely restrained eagerness.
Su Ci stared straight at Lu Zhe. “You can’t see your own back. I’ll help you apply it.” She took advantage while pretending to be obedient. “With me serving you, aren’t you very happy?”
She had once seen male models shooting for magazines in a studio. Back then she felt their body management was decent, but she didn’t feel anything.
Yet now, looking at the Lu Zhe in front of her — he normally wore that white-and-blue school uniform, tall and lean, just a slim young boy — but once he took off his shirt, it was really something to look at.
A thin layer of muscle, perfect lines, not overly thin or weak, and not bulky in a way that looked bad.
Su Ci suddenly felt she was quite lustful too.
“Didn’t you say you were going to help me apply the medicine?” Lu Zhe couldn’t withstand the girl’s overly bright gaze and turned his head away.
“Oh.” Su Ci had been dazzled by the boy’s beauty and finally snapped back to her senses.
Lu Zhe turned sideways, facing his back toward Su Ci.
He straightened his back, the wound on the back of his shoulder fully exposed in front of Su Ci.
The wound was about half the size of a palm. He had been burned badly enough to blister, and the blister had been rubbed open. The wound was red, with dried blood around it.
Whether before she entered the book or after, Su Ci had always been well protected, rarely injured — let alone burned.
Just looking at this kind of wound made her feel pain.
And Lu Zhe hadn’t treated it at all from the entire afternoon until night. How had he endured the pain?
Listening to the occasional chirp of insects in the nearby grass, the surroundings felt even quieter. Just like the girl said, no one came.
Lu Zhe lowered his eyes. He looked at the reflection of the moon in the lotus pond, fish occasionally swimming past and shattering the moon.
After a long while, feeling no movement behind him, Lu Zhe asked Su Ci, “Are you done?”
Su Ci did not respond.
Lu Zhe was just about to turn around to look at her when, the next second, the girl’s soft, warm-jade little hand gently climbed onto his back.
Lu Zhe’s back muscles tensed instinctively.
Then, something seemed to fall on the side of his wound.
A faint pain and itch made Lu Zhe straighten his waist even more, the muscles of his back tensing to the point of aching.
Lu Zhe’s brows knit together. “Su Ci…”
“Don’t move.” The girl’s small hand pressed his back, stopping him from turning around.
This time, Lu Zhe’s senses were even clearer — Su Ci was kissing him!
Her soft lips fell on the side of his wound, light and gentle, with a teasing sting that made his skin itch unbearably.
Lu Zhe’s entire body went rigid. He struggled to endure the numbness traveling up his spine. “Tuan Tuan!” His usually cool voice was a little hoarse in the night.
“Did I hurt you?” Su Ci lifted her head.
In Lu Zhe’s pitch-black eyes, the darkness of his gaze ran deep. He answered in a low voice: “Mm.”
Her kissing him like this was harder to bear, more unbearable, than the fire burning him!
Just now, Su Ci had felt distressed that the boy was hurt and wanted to kiss him. “Then we need to hurry and apply the medicine. The wound is all red and swollen.”
She twisted open the cap, dipped a cotton swab into the ointment, and gently brushed it over the wound. Maybe because it hurt, Lu Zhe’s shoulder trembled slightly.
Su Ci lightened her touch even more. While applying the medicine, she blew softly over the wound, trying to ease his pain.
Lu Zhe lowered his eyelids. In the night, his gaze couldn’t be clearly seen.
“All done. When you go back to shower, you have to be careful. Don’t get the wound wet, or it’ll get inflamed,” Su Ci reminded him.
“Mm.” Lu Zhe picked up his shirt, ready to put it back on, but the girl grabbed his hand. “You can’t put your clothes on yet. I just applied the medicine, it hasn’t dried. Your shirt will wipe it off.” Su Ci glared at him. “You can’t waste my hard work for nothing.”
Lu Zhe: …
So the girl wanted him to sit in the pavilion with her, shirtless, chatting?
Su Ci set the ointment and cotton swabs aside casually. She walked back to stand in front of Lu Zhe. Under his startled gaze, she directly sat sideways on his thigh.
The corners of Su Ci’s eyes lifted. She spoke with perfect confidence: “The stone bench is hard. It’s uncomfortable to sit on.”
Lu Zhe asked her in a low voice, “My leg isn’t hard?” He remembered she had once complained that his leg was uncomfortable to sit on.
Su Ci leaned against his chest, a little lazy. “It’s a bit more comfortable than stone.”
Lu Zhe exercised often; his thighs were all muscle, tight and firm, not comfortable to sit on either — but compared to the stone bench, she would still rather sit on his leg.
Su Ci had always been afraid of heat, and Lu Zhe’s skin temperature was on the cooler side. In this scorching summer, he was like a big block of ice, and leaning against him felt very comfortable.
Before, when Lu Zhe held her, he had always been wearing clothes. Now he was bare-chested, and her dress was thin and light. Their skin touching like this carried an indescribable intimacy.
The girl’s body was soft and light, as if she had no bones as she leaned tightly against him. And her dress was sexy, the neckline dipping a little low — if Lu Zhe just lowered his head, he would be able to see her alluringly beautiful curves.
His jaw tightened. Lu Zhe turned his gaze away and said in a cool voice, “Tuan Tuan, sit properly.”
Su Ci had long been shameless and brazen.
Under the moonlight, she was like a wicked, seductive little demon. “I just finished helping you apply the medicine. I’m very tired now, I don’t have the strength, I can’t sit properly.” She lifted her gaze, a little aggrieved as she accused him, “Are you planning to throw me away after using me?”
Lu Zhe had no temper left. “No.”
Only then did Su Ci smile. If she wasn’t worried about pushing Lu Zhe too far, she would’ve already reached out to touch the tense muscles on his body.
The cool night wind blew past, and the lotus flowers in the pond swayed with the breeze.
Su Ci suddenly remembered something. Her red lips curled, eyes sparkling with mischief. “Lu Zhe, no one’s here. You have to kiss me.”
The golden cotton candy she got last time after saving Wen Duoyu from her class — she had saved it for him, and Fugui coveted it every day, yet she never gave Fugui even a little bit.
Lu Zhe glanced at her lightly. The familiar glint in the girl’s eyes made him cough softly as he replied, “The number of times I kissed you last time is enough to last you until the college entrance exam.”
Su Ci would never admit that. She stared at him with her eyes wide open, telling bold lies. “You miscounted.” Her delicate chin lifted as she urged, “Hurry, I’m giving you something good.”
In Lu Zhe’s understanding, every time Su Ci said she wanted to give him something good, it meant she wanted to kiss him.
Under the warm yellow pavilion light, the girl’s small face was pale and fair, her bright eyes fixed on him, as if she would bite him if he dared refuse.
Lu Zhe lowered his head. His well-shaped thin lips carried the coolness of the night as they landed on her red lips.
As their eyes met, he saw the shimmering smile in the girl’s gaze.
Lu Zhe kissed her very gently, just a light taste before pulling away. After Su Ci slipped the golden cotton candy, she clung to him, unwilling to let go.
The fish in the pond hid shyly beneath the lotus leaves, sending ripples across the water.
Su Ci sat sideways on Lu Zhe’s thigh, leaning weakly against his chest. Her watery eyes shimmered beautifully, her small face tinted with a faint blush, and even her little mouth looked flushed as if it had been kissed too hard, crimson and dewy.
Compared to Lu Zhe’s loss of control last time, this tender exchange of breath made her heart flutter just as much.
The cold stiffness in the boy’s brows and gaze had melted away. Under the moonlight, he looked gentle, pure, and strikingly handsome — she liked it so, so much.
Just after kissing, the tiny beauty mark under Su Ci’s eye seemed even more seductive. She lay softly in Lu Zhe’s arms, and finally brought up business. “Why did you suddenly come to B City?”
Lu Zhe adjusted his posture, trying to make her lean more comfortably. “Uncle Fang wants to work with me and open a company. We came to take a look at office spaces.”
Su Ci was a little surprised, though she knew Lu Zhe was extremely capable. “Then why didn’t you tell me?”
If not for today’s accident, she wouldn’t have known he came. Was he planning to secretly come see her, or perhaps not even see her at all and just leave after handling business?
“There wasn’t enough time. Uncle Fang and I bought plane tickets for tomorrow morning.” He knew Su Ci was attending a banquet — she would definitely be busy.
“You’re leaving tomorrow?”
Lu Zhe responded softly, “Mm.”
Su Ci was dissatisfied. “I only just saw you.” She felt that waiting more than a month before seeing him again was going to be unbearably long.
Lu Zhe smoothed the girl’s hair. “After the college entrance exam, I’ll come over.”
Only then did Su Ci smile again.
The night grew deeper; it was already getting late.
The ointment on his shoulder had long dried. Amid the girl’s teasing, Lu Zhe put his shirt back on.
Lu Zhe gestured for Su Ci to get up, but she was still sitting on his thigh.
Su Ci didn’t move. She lifted her skirt slightly, letting Lu Zhe see her bare feet, and began acting spoiled. “I’m not wearing my shoes yet. Carry me back?”
Never mind that there were so many servants in the villa — and according to what Su Ci said, her older brother Su Zhiyuan was also there — Lu Zhe had been snuck in by her. If he carried her back, everyone would see.
The girl didn’t mind, but Lu Zhe couldn’t indulge her.
Lu Zhe lifted Su Ci up and placed her onto the stone bench.
Su Ci glared at him angrily. “Lu Zhe.”
Lu Zhe bent down to pick up the high heels on the ground. Under the girl’s startled gaze, he half-kneeled, held one of her feet, patted away the dust on the top, and then put her shoe on for her.
Just a second ago, Su Ci’s chest had been puffed up in anger; now it deflated completely.
Her heart softened.
She watched as her foot was held in the boy’s large hand. His brows lowered, his expression focused as he helped her put on her shoe. Su Ci clearly hadn’t drunk anything, yet she felt like she was about to get drunk.
Otherwise, why was her face getting hot? Why was her heart beating so fast?
What should she do? Lu Zhe was so good like this, she wanted to hide him away somewhere just for herself.
“Xiao Ci!”
The sudden voice shattered the quiet of the pavilion.
