“Bro Zhe, look at my rabbit, isn’t it handsome?” Li Dongliang pushed the cage in front of Lu Zhe. “Did you bring your little bunny? I’ll let my T-Rex play with your bunny. Your bunny will definitely like him.”
Only then did Lu Zhe lift his head to look at Li Dongliang’s rabbit.
Inside the cage, the little gray rabbit was hopping around with a vacant, somewhat silly expression.
Li Dongliang had already found a place to keep the rabbit at work. As long as he didn’t bring it home, he was fine. He cheerfully suggested to Lu Zhe, “Bro Zhe, let’s be in-laws. My T-Rex and your bunny can definitely have lots of cute baby rabbits.”
Though the little gray rabbit wasn’t very satisfying to pet, he still coveted Lu Zhe’s bunny.
“How about it? My idea’s great, right? Our two rabbits know each other well, so they won’t need to find wild rabbits outside to breed.” Li Dongliang had even calculated how many baby rabbits the two would have. In any case, he could afford to raise them.
Lu Zhe gave Li Dongliang a cold glance, his tone colder than anything Li had heard from him before. “It’s not worthy.”
Li Dongliang and the little gray rabbit both stared dumbfounded at Lu Zhe. Why did it feel like they were deeply despised?

In the morning, after Su Ci woke up and ate the breakfast Lu Zhe made for her, she went to the mall.
Because it wasn’t a weekend, the mall had far fewer people than usual.
Su Ci went to the phone shop on the second floor and picked out a new phone.
Yesterday, Lu Zhe mentioned buying her one, but remembering how pitifully broke he was, Su Ci decided to pay for it herself. After all, she still had the twenty thousand the Fu family gave her.
Su Ci didn’t care much about phone specs — she casually picked a nice-looking one and paid nearly three thousand.
In the past, three thousand wasn’t even enough to buy one of her dresses, but now it made her heart ache terribly.
She was so poor.
With her new phone, the first number she added to her contacts was Lu Zhe’s — which she had to ask him for. Before, people begged her for her contact info. Now she was the one asking Lu Zhe, and he only then gave it to her. Their roles had completely reversed.
So irritating.
The young man was cold, stiff, straight as steel, and clearly blind. A stunning beauty like her showed up in front of him every day, even kissing him proactively, and he still acted unwilling.
Every time she kissed him once or twice just to maintain her human form, and whenever she wanted more kisses, he refused.
Either Lu Zhe was blind, or his taste was broken.
Su Ci would never doubt her own charm.
After leaving the phone store, it was still early, but maybe because she had set the new air-conditioning too low last night while sleeping, she seemed to have caught a cold today. Her nose was stuffy, her head felt light, her throat was dry and uncomfortable. Su Ci decided to go back and take some cold medicine.
Just then, a little boy suddenly dashed out of a nearby store and crashed right into her.
The new phone in her hand slipped and fell to the ground.
Su Ci: !!!
She hurriedly picked it up. The screen wasn’t broken.
“Just now, you didn’t hold your phone properly. It has nothing to do with my son. If your phone breaks, don’t blame him.” The mother of the little boy walked over, seizing the advantage.
“Auntie, your son bumped into me. You should ask him to apologize to me, not try to excuse him,” Su Ci said, annoyed.
“A child accidentally bumps you a little, and you’re making such a fuss? How petty can you be to argue with a kid?” The boy’s mother raised her voice. Hearing Su Ci call her “auntie” clearly irritated her, so she grew even louder. “I look about the same age as you. How am I an auntie? Do you even know how to respect people?”
Su Ci glanced at the woman — a head full of huge explosion-style curls, a face broad as a pancake, and an outfit of plain striped top and long pants.
Tsk. Su Ci suddenly realized she wasn’t the most narcissistic person after all.
Where in the world did this auntie get the confidence to think she looked anything like her?
“Auntie, you’re really funny.” Su Ci lifted her delicate chin. The words she spoke nearly angered the middle-aged woman across from her to death. “Please don’t say you look similar to me, okay? I don’t want you dragging down my peerless beauty.”
Then Su Ci’s gaze fell on the little boy holding a Superman toy. On his wrist, the Life Value was only a thin red line, with a note beside it: 1 hour.
Su Ci called Fugui over. “How did he die?”
Fugui: 【The little boy was playing in the elevator, rolled down from above, lost too much blood and died.】
Su Ci narrowed her eyes slightly and spoke seriously to the middle-aged woman. “I won’t pursue compensation for your son bumping into me just now. But as a mother, you should properly guide and watch over your child.”
The little boy had played in the elevator and fallen — this mother was clearly negligent.
The middle-aged woman held her son’s hand and glared fiercely at the excessively beautiful girl in front of her. “How I educated my son is none of your business. I don’t need you pointing fingers at me.” With that, she dragged the child away.
Su Ci stood still, watching the boy pass by her. The thin red line of Life Value on his wrist flickered faintly.
She gripped her phone and let out a small sigh.
After arguing, her head hurt even more. Her breath felt hot. Was she running a fever?
Su Ci was just about to touch her forehead to check when suddenly her scalp began to itch. Both sides felt like something was about to pop out.
For some strange reason, she remembered that when she transformed from a person back into a rabbit, she’d felt exactly like this.
Heavens — was she going to turn back into a rabbit right now?
No, that didn’t make sense. Last night before sleeping, she had asked Lu Zhe for kisses twice.
But the itching intensified, as if something really would emerge in the next second. Su Ci covered her head with one hand and looked around, not even sure where the restroom was.
Her head hurt from anxiety — she could feel something about to burst out from the top of her head.
Wuwah!
Still covering her head tightly with one hand, Su Ci clenched her teeth and hurried into the nearest clothing store.
There was no time to say anything to the clerk. She grabbed a few pieces of clothing from the rack. “Where’s the fitting room?”
“Over… over there.” The saleswoman was stunned by how beautiful the girl was. Before she could react, she saw Su Ci rushing into the fitting room with the clothes.
The door closed.
Only then did Su Ci finally breathe out.
There was a full-length mirror in the fitting room. Standing before it, Su Ci stared in shock.
A pair of rabbit ears had sprouted on top of her head!
Was she about to turn back into a rabbit?

This period was a math class. The teacher wasn’t lecturing but had the students working on worksheets.
Li Dongliang had only filled in a few questions on the front of his test paper — the entire back section was untouched.
He was secretly petting his little gray rabbit inside his desk drawer, occasionally sneaking glances at Lu Zhe beside him.
Lu Zhe refusing to become “in-laws” with him was one thing, but actually disdaining his little gray rabbit for being ugly?
He decided: he would help his little gray rabbit officially pursue Lu Zhe’s little bunny. Regardless of anything, he only acknowledged Lu Zhe’s rabbit as his gray rabbit’s future wife.
Lu Zhe had just finished his worksheet when the phone in his pocket suddenly vibrated.
He glanced at the number — an unfamiliar call.
Lu Zhe rejected it.
Two seconds later, the phone vibrated again. Lu Zhe frowned.
He looked at the math teacher on the podium, then answered the call.
On the other end, the girl’s pleasant voice sounded, “Lu Zhe, hurry and come save me at the clothing store on the mall’s second floor.”
Lu Zhe’s grip on the phone tightened, and he abruptly stood up from his seat.
The sound of the chair scraping across the floor made everyone in the classroom look over, just in time to see Lu Zhe running toward the classroom door.
Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!!
Li Dongliang beside him was utterly stunned. His deskmate… skipped class in front of the math teacher?
The classroom erupted with a small commotion.
The math teacher slammed the podium hard, face dark. “No talking. Continue your worksheets.”
He walked to Lu Zhe’s seat, and upon seeing the neatly written, fully completed worksheet on the desk, his expression eased.
The teacher collected Lu Zhe’s paper, then glanced at Fu Baili beside the aisle — who was playing on his phone, not having done a single question. The stark contrast between the two students was almost painful.
Lu Zhe ran out of the school, took a taxi to the mall, then rushed up to the second floor.
He immediately spotted the clothing store Su Ci had mentioned.
Walking inside, he saw a saleswoman standing before the fitting room door, knocking repeatedly. “Miss? Do you need any assistance?” The girl inside had been in there for nearly half an hour.
Lu Zhe strode over. “Su Ci.”
“Lu Zhe, you’re here?” Su Ci’s voice came from inside, filled with joyful relief.
Hearing her, Lu Zhe finally relaxed a little. He motioned for the saleswoman to move aside.
“Lu Zhe, only you can come in.” Su Ci opened the door a small crack.
“Mm.”
Lu Zhe pushed the door partially open and went inside.
The door closed again, leaving the saleswoman stunned outside.
At that moment, customers entered the store, so the saleswoman had no choice but to go assist them first.
“Lu Zhe, you’re here.” Su Ci was so anxious she was nearly in tears.
Lu Zhe looked at the girl in front of him, who had suddenly grown a pair of rabbit ears. Shock flickered through his dark eyes.
“What happened?”
“Hurry up and kiss me.” Su Ci panicked, leaning toward him, standing on tiptoe, trying to kiss him.
Lu Zhe backed away in surprise. The girl’s eyes were red with panic, and with those pink-and-white rabbit ears on her head, she looked both adorable and pitiful — clearly on the verge of crying.
His back pressed against the fitting room door as the girl leaned in to kiss him. A faint hint of amusement flashed in his black eyes. He had to steady her by holding her waist. “Don’t rush.”
