During class, the teacher walked into the room with a transfer student.
“Please introduce yourself to everyone.”
The boy was lean and tall, his features sharp and handsome, his gaze arrogant, his whole body carrying a cold, untouchable air. One look and you knew he wasn’t someone to provoke. “Fu Baili.”
Hiss.
The transfer student’s appearance instantly stirred a wave of discussion.
So handsome, this was definitely the face of a school heartthrob.
“The transfer student is so handsome. I just heard other people say his family donated a whole library to the school. High looks and rich too, I’m sure tons of people will like him.” Ling Hui lowered her voice, speaking excitedly to Zhao Youyou beside her.
“Yeah.”
Zhao Youyou’s mind drifted.
She remembered that in her previous life, she had also been one of Fu Baili’s admirers — chasing after him shamelessly, heedless of anything, while enduring everyone’s ridicule.
Now, she was already awake. She knew clearly the huge gap between her family background and Fu Baili’s. She wouldn’t like him anymore.
“Fu Baili, there’s still an empty seat in the back. Sit there for now,” the teacher said.
Fu Baili strode down the platform and headed toward the empty seat. He lifted his brow, the corner of his mouth carrying a lazy, roguish smile, instantly making the girls around him swoon again.
Fu Baili’s seat happened to be on the right side of Lu Zhe, separated from him by an aisle.
When class ended, a crowd gathered around Fu Baili’s area.
Especially the girls. They enthusiastically asked if he needed help with anything in his studies. Quite a few boys couldn’t stand his arrogant attitude, but they didn’t dare provoke him — after all, they had all heard that Fu Baili came from a very powerful family.
Su Ci lazily lifted her eyelids, her ears twitching a little. It was too noisy.
She glanced at Fu Baili across from her. His face was cold, as if he was the most impressive and unbeatable person in the world. Hearing everyone call him the school grass, she rolled her red eyes.
If Lu Zhe didn’t have ALS making his facial muscles stiff and his cheeks slightly sunken, how could Fu Baili compare to him?
And Lu Zhe was the top student in the grade, while this male lead Fu Baili was just an academic slacker.
Unfortunately, the male lead halo around Fu Baili was too bright — blinding everyone so thoroughly that they ignored the top student and instead chased after a slacker.
Su Ci tilted her head and continued sleeping.
In just one day, Fu Baili’s name filled dozens of posts on the school forum. Many people were shouting for photos of the school grass. Quite a few girls deliberately passed by the classroom door or waited outside the school gate just to “coincidentally” bump into Fu Baili.
After school, Fu Baili got into a globally limited-edition luxury car, leaving everyone around staring dumbfounded.
From behind Lu Zhe’s backpack, Su Ci poked out her little head. Alright then — in everyone’s eyes, the male lead’s halo had only grown even brighter.

At night, pale moonlight fell on the treetops lining both sides of the road. A breeze passed by, blowing away the lingering daytime heat.
Today was Thursday, so Lu Zhe didn’t need to go to the computer shop.
Su Ci lay on his grayish bed, watching him sit at the desk typing on his keyboard. The screen showed lines of code she couldn’t understand at all. The glow of the monitor cast light across Lu Zhe’s side profile, outlining his sharp features.
As she watched and watched, Su Ci became a little entranced.
She truly felt that every part of Lu Zhe’s appearance was exactly her type.
His brows and eyes were deep-set, his nose straight and high, his thin lips sensual.
As for his figure, there was nothing more to say — broad shoulders and a narrow waist. Even wearing that dull blue school-uniform pants couldn’t hide his long legs. Even Lu Zhe’s fingers tapping on the keyboard were long and beautiful, and when they stroked her head, it felt quite comfortable.
Su Ci suddenly felt that kissing Lu Zhe wouldn’t be a loss at all.
The hateful thing was… he wouldn’t kiss her.
She was such a cute, soft, adorable little bunny — did he never have a moment when emotions overflowed and he wanted to kiss her?
Thinking of this, Su Ci gritted her teeth and called out to Fugui, “Do you have a way to knock Lu Zhe out? That way I can do whatever I want and kiss him however I like.”
Fugui trembled: 【No, Fugui has no physical form and can’t control anyone.】
Su Ci felt extremely disdainful. “Then what use are you!”
Fugui was very wronged, but Fugui didn’t say anything.
Su Ci scratched her head with her two little paws, feeling a bit depressed. Did she really have to wait until the next time Lu Zhe got drunk before she had a chance to return to human form?
The night deepened.
After taking a shower, Lu Zhe walked in. There were still droplets of water on his face that hadn’t been wiped away, sliding down from his chin and disappearing into his collar. When he reached the bedside, he picked up the little rabbit lying on the bed, preparing to put her into the rabbit cage.
Realizing Lu Zhe’s intention, Su Ci struggled fiercely.
Ever since he bought the rabbit cage, he locked her inside every night to prevent her from escaping, completely ruining her plans to secretly kiss him at night.
Seeing that he wanted to lock her up again, she refused.
When they reached the rabbit cage, Lu Zhe noticed that the rabbit in his hand was struggling wildly. Its four little feet were kicking around, its soft body twisting nonstop, and its pair of red eyes looked up at him pitifully.
Lu Zhe stopped.
The rabbit also stopped.
“You don’t want to go in?” Lu Zhe asked the rabbit in his hands.
Su Ci quickly nodded, and even obediently rubbed her head against his palm.
She absolutely did not want to be locked in the cage, she wanted to sleep on the bed!
He knew the rabbit he picked up was somewhat intelligent, but he hadn’t expected it to actually understand his words.
His cold palm was tickled by the rubbing, and Lu Zhe hooked his lips faintly. He closed the rabbit cage, then turned off the light in the room.
When Su Ci lay back on the bed, in the next second she felt the spot beside her sink down, and she froze.
Ahhh! Heaven truly rewards the persistent bunny!
Her little heart thumped uncontrollably. Smelling the clean, cool scent of the boy beside her, Su Ci didn’t move recklessly. She planned to wait until Lu Zhe fell asleep and then secretly kiss him.
The dim room was quiet, with only the sound of the rotating fan and the occasional car horn drifting in from outside the window.
Su Ci’s eyelids grew heavier and heavier. Was Lu Zhe asleep?
So sleepy…
Gradually, Su Ci’s eyes closed completely.
He didn’t know how much time had passed when a sudden muscle spasm jolted the drowsy Lu Zhe awake.
In the darkness, his pitch-black eyes were dark as ink. Lately, the muscle spasms in his hands and legs had been happening more and more frequently.
Lu Zhe kept his eyes open, mind blank, simply waiting for the spasms to stop.
Suddenly, something soft and warm brushed against the cold back of his hand. Only then did Lu Zhe remember that he had let the rabbit sleep on his bed.
Turning to the side, and using the moonlight filtering through the glass window, Lu Zhe saw the rabbit curled up into a tiny ball of snow.
A faint smile surfaced in his dark eyes.
He had noticed that lately, this little pet was always clinging to him.
Scooping the rabbit up from his side and bringing it to his chest, Lu Zhe lowered his head and placed a kiss on the soft little creature.
The night was deep. There was no air conditioner in the room, and the fan wasn’t enough to dispel the stuffy heat.
Su Ci hated heat the most.
Sensing the cool temperature beside her, she unconsciously pressed her body against it in her half-asleep state, her hands naturally wrapping around the big block of ice.
Still feeling it wasn’t enough, Su Ci even rubbed her head against the cold block. Only when the cool sensation spread did she feel satisfied.
Lu Zhe had just fallen asleep when he suddenly sensed something hugging his waist, and something soft rubbing against his chest.
He reached out to touch it.
Where his palm landed, Lu Zhe felt smooth, delicate warmth.
He snapped his eyes open and lowered his gaze.
In the faint moonlight, the girl before him was beautiful like a Yaojing1Yaojing (妖精): A term referring to a beautiful, enchanting, and otherworldly being. In romance novels, it often describes someone so stunning and captivating that they seem unreal or magically alluring, rather than a literal “fairy.”, her soft cheek rubbing against his chest, her entire body as pale as snow.
Lu Zhe stiffened all over. He immediately yanked the bedsheet beside him and covered the girl’s unclothed body, hiding that shocking beauty.
He sat up and instantly pressed the light switch on the bedside.
The dim room lit up in an instant.
Su Ci’s eyes were pricked by the sudden brightness, and she instinctively burrowed into the blanket. “So sleepy… why did you turn on the light?” Her voice was soft and sweet, thick with drowsiness, like she was acting spoiled.
Standing beside the bed, Lu Zhe stared at the slender figure burrowed under the covers, his awareness snapping fully awake.
“Who are you?”
His voice was sharp, demanding.
Under the blanket, Su Ci shifted, head buried as she slept on.
Receiving no response, Lu Zhe leaned down, intending to shake her awake. In the next second, his gaze unintentionally fell on the girl’s ankle sticking out from the sheet — a red string wound around it, threaded with a tiny jade gourd. Thin and delicate, it made her ankle look even whiter and prettier.
Lu Zhe squeezed his eyes shut hard, desperately suppressing the absurd thought forming in his mind.
He reached out and lifted a small portion of the blanket, exposing the girl’s face under the light. Lu Zhe’s voice was icy. “Wake up.”
The bright light was harsh. Su Ci’s pretty brows knitted together.
She sleepily yawned, her eyes slowly opening.
The cold, handsome face in front of her magnified endlessly.
Su Ci blinked. In her hazy consciousness, she suddenly remembered she was supposed to kiss Lu Zhe.
“It’s Lu Zhe… great, I want to kiss you.”
She stretched out her two “paws,” softly hooking them over Lu Zhe’s shoulders. Lifting herself slightly, her beautiful red lips leaned forward and kissed directly onto Lu Zhe’s lips.
A little soft, a little cool.
She blinked again.
Under her palms, Su Ci felt the boy’s shoulders tense up instantly.
She pulled back, sensing that something was wrong. Su Ci shifted her gaze to the hands resting on Lu Zhe’s shoulders — and saw that her little paws had turned into slender, fair jade-like arms.
Su Ci froze.
She immediately lowered her head, only to see her delicate collarbone exposed because she had lifted herself up, along with hints of snow-white skin barely covered by the sheet.
As her awareness returned, Su Ci’s eyes — shimmering with a watery sheen — widened round.
Ahhhhhh!
Su Ci couldn’t believe it. In her mind, she screamed frantically for Fugui.
“Fugui, get out here! I think I turned back into a human right in front of Lu Zhe!”
She was going to die! She was going to die!
Well the reveal was quite fast, didn't expect that.
